NY GOP Rep. Nicole Malliotakis: Gov. Cuomo’s ‘a Hypocrite’

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s past rebukes of those diminishing sexual harassment charges of women are coming back around against him amid new allegations against him, exposing him as a “hypocrite,” Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, R-N.Y., said Thursday.

“This is typical; the governor, he’s a hypocrite,” Malliotakis told Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom.” “It’s rules for thee but not for me.”

Malliotakis has already called for Cuomo to be removed as a governor amid his mishandling of the coronavirus pandemic, including an early mandate for long-term living facilities taking in COVID-19 positive seniors.

Now, Cuomo is facing sexual harassment allegations from a former staffer who said the governor kissed her on the lips without warning and told her he wanted to play “strip poker” with her.

“These new allegations just further make it more difficult for the governor to continue,” Malliotakis told host Dana Perino.

The first-year lawmaker noted Cuomo once called for a zero tolerance policy on similar allegations in 2013.

“Against an assemblyman, he demanded his resignation immediately,” she said. “He said there was no tolerance for sexual harassment in New York state, so the governor now has a lot of answers he needs to give New Yorkers. This just adds to his problems.”
