COVID-19 UTAH Community Update

A message from our Utah State Government “We are not making these decisions today because things are really bad.  We’re making these decisions today to make sure that things don’t get really bad.” – Spencer Cox – Lieutenant Governor

For the next 2 weeks starting Monday, March 16th. Governor Gary Herbert is suggesting we not attend gatherings over 100 people.  If you are over the age of 60 or are immune-compromised limit that number to no more than 20 people.

Limit mass gatherings to groups of 100. 100 healthy individuals, if you feel sick don’t show up. If you are vulnerable you should not participate. This includes church gatherings, concerts, conferences, and other similar activities where people gather.

This does not apply to public schools right now.  This does not include companies with more than 100 employees. Although they are highly encouraging employers to let staff work from home.

Murray School District will be closed until further notice.

The University of Utah will be transitioning to all classes online for the remainder of the spring semester starting March 18th. No classes March 13-17.

Weber State University will also move classes online starting March 18th.

Utah State University classes moving online beginning Wednesday, March 18th.

Westminster College has canceled classes and events through March 27th. Classes will resume remotely from March 23 -27.
