7 House Dems Vote to Condemn LA ICE Protests

Seven House Democrats broke with the rest of their party and voted with Republicans in support of a resolution condemning the Los Angeles protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The text of the resolution, which was introduced by Rep. Young Kim, R-Calif., condemns the anti-ICE protests that took place across Los Angeles after the Trump administration began conducting sweeping anti-immigration raids across the city.

It states, “These protests quickly escalated into violent riots across Los Angeles, where acts of arson, widespread looting, property destruction, and vandalism were committed, blocking streets and highways, lighting streets on fire, throwing rocks at law enforcement vehicles, and assaulting Federal and local peace officers.”
