More Countries Paying Women to Have Babies

Several European countries have introduced pronatalist policies designed to encourage young women to have more babies, including Russia, Hungary, and Poland, reports The Independent.

Other countries have proposed implementing proposals to incentivize the public to have more children as new research from the United Nations found that the number of children born to the average woman worldwide has reached the lowest point ever recorded.

ABC News in April reported that the White House had been fielding ideas aimed at increasing the nation’s birth rate, including a $5,000 baby bonus to every American mother after she gives birth.
