Most Canadian citizens consider the United States the “greatest threat” to their country, according to a survey published Tuesday by the Pew Research Center.

Among Canadians, 59% said that the U.S. was the nation’s greatest threat, as President Donald Trump continues to suggest that Canada should become the 51st American state.

Ironically, a majority of Canadians (55%) also consider the U.S. their most important ally.
