Rep. Ashley Hinson, R-Iowa, told Newsmax on Tuesday that the U.S. and China “need to get a deal done” on trade and criticized the leadership in Beijing for “not following” previous agreements.
Although President Donald Trump paused his wide-ranging tariffs on China while negotiations continue, CNBC reports that U.S. agricultural products are “vanishing from Chinese stores and restaurants” due to uncertainty about prices.
Hinson, whose state last year exported almost $1 billion in goods to China, told Newsmax’s “Wake Up America” that Washington and Beijing “need to get a deal done, plain and simple, and nobody better to do that than the master dealmaker, President Trump.”
