Vice President JD Vance would be a “great nominee” for the Republican Party in the next presidential election if he decides to run, Secretary of State Marco Rubio told Fox News’ “My View With Lara Trump.”

Rubio actually sidestepped a question about his own presidential ambitions in answering the question, saying that Vance is “doing a great job as vice president. He’s a close friend, and I hope he intends to do it.”

Speaking about his own political future, Rubio said he loves his job as secretary of state and intends to serve out his full term, noting that would likely preclude him from running for president in three years, according to The Hill.
