Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., denied allegations from President Donald Trump that he committed mortgage fraud.

“Since I led his first impeachment, Trump has repeatedly called for me to be arrested for treason,” Schiff said. “I guess this is a bit of a letdown. And this baseless attempt at political retribution won’t stop me from holding him accountable. Not by a long shot.”

Trump announced on Truth Social Tuesday that Fannie Mae’s Financial Crimes Division has evidence Schiff committed mortgage fraud, a claim that was also levied against New York Democrat Attorney General Letitia James.
