Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough has nixed several key provisions from President Donald Trump’s megabill, saying they violate the upper chamber’s rules for the budget reconciliation process, reports The Hill.

The budget reconciliation process allows for expedited passage of a bill with a simple majority vote.

Republicans are attempting to use it to pass Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act.”
