In the wake of months of speculation surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein case since President Donald Trump took office, House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., who has been in the middle of disputes about related files held by the government, told CBS that the case is “not a hoax.”
In an interview with CBS, Johnson said: “We want full transparency. We want everybody who is involved in any way with the Epstein evils — let’s call it what it was — to be brought to justice as quickly as possible.”
While Johnson said, “We want the full weight of the law on their heads,” he took some heat from House members who wanted a vote this week on the release of Epstein case files. But he asserted that the effort amounted to “political games” by Democrats.
