Steve Bannon, a campaign executive in former President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, accused House Republicans of wanting “MAGA to go away” and for Trump to lose his bid to return to the White House, saying they are not doing enough to defend Trump in his legal battles.

“Why does [Rep. Jim] Jordan [R-Ohio] not have a criminal conspiracy investigation — from Fani Willis in Georgia to ‘Big Tish James’ in New York City?” Bannon said on his “War Room” podcast Monday, reported The Hill.

“The Justice Department, why have they not been sent letters [to] ‘preserve your documents’?” he added. “Why have hearings not gone on? Why have they not broken these things up? You know why. Because they don’t really have Trump’s back.”
