Steve Witkoff, U.S. special envoy to the Middle East, continues to have direct and indirect communications with Iranian officials even though President Donald Trump has not talked to Tehran, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Monday.

“That communication continues,” Leavitt said during her daily press briefing. “The president himself has not talked to Iran.”

It’s been a week since the U.S. pressed Israel and Iran into a truce, ending a bloody, 12-day conflict that had set the Middle East and world on edge.
